IB – Introducing Broker
An Introducing Broker can be a business or person who is not registered as an Associated Person of a Futures Commission Merchant that is involved or receives purchase or sale orders of commodities for an exchange for future delivery. An Introducing Broker does not receive or accept any form of payment from the trading client, and is not involved in the actually trading of commodities. The Introducing Broker will usually receive a commission or set fee based on the income or profit generated by the forwarded trading client with their associated Broker who they will exectute their trades with.
