FSA – Financial Services Authority
The FSA stands for the Financial Services Authority, and it is an independent company and non-government body limited by guarantee and financed by the financial services industry. The Financial Services Authority is responsible for the financial regulation of the United Kingdom financial services industry.
The United Kingdom government is responsible for the overall scope of the FSA’s regulatory actions and powers. The FSA regulates the majority of the financial services markets, firms, and exchanges based in the United Kingdom. Any firm that fails to oblige by the regulations of the FSA will be subject to review, and possible action against them.
