Bank for International Settlements

The Bank for International Settlements or the BIS, supervises the dealings and relationship of central banks and global monetary policy makers. The Bank for International Settlements was the first globally recognised financial governing body to initiate back in 1930. Its other main function is to research and analyse economic and financial data. The BIS operates on the basis of the ‘Treaty of Versailles’.
